Mycorrhizal Root Dip
Our Mycorrhizal Root Dip Inoculant product contains nine types of Endo spores Glomus aggregatum, G. etunicatum, G. intraradices, G. mosseae, (minimum 10 spores each/cc)G. monosporus, G. clarum, G. deserticola, Gigaspora margarita, and Paraglomus brasilianum (minimum 2 spores each/cc) and 5 types of Ecto spores: Pisolithus tinctorius (100,000 spores/cc), Rhizopogan amylpogon, Rhizopogan fulvigleba, Rhizopogan luteolus, Rhizopogan villosullus (minimum 2,000 spores/cc each) . It also contains a non-organic horticultural hydrogel powder (which likely cannot be used for certified organic growing) that forms a clinging slurry when mixed into water. The slurry provides a quick and convenient way to apply the fungi spores to bare-root transplants. Simply dip the tips of the roots into the slurry. This ensures that the spores will be in perfect position as the roots begin to grow. This product is widely used by large wine vineyards and commercial orchards for their new plantings. A 3-lb. jar will treat up to 500 tree or vine transplants, 1500 cane-type berries, or 5000 strawberries. GARDENERS: If planting just a few trees, vines, or berries we suggest using our BEI powder instead of this root dip. You can easily apply a little powder directly to each transplant's roots and then use the rest of the jar for other purposes. DIRECTIONS: Stir into water at a rate of approximately 1:24 ratio (3/4 cup of inoculant per gallon of water or 42 cc per liter). The resulting mix should cling to roots with very little dripping. Adjust the mix thinner or thicker if necessary. Stir occasionally. Use within 24 hours.
